Very good seabass bite on morning’s private charter with the guys from Los Andes restaurant. The fluke layed low for the most part, but the seabass made up for it, as we finished the trip dangerously close to a full limit. The afternoon was a bit on the slower side. More keeper fluke than the morning trip, but not nearly as many seabass. Tomorrow morning we have a private charter, but will be sailing open boat for the 1-8 sunset special.

Fishing today was very slow on the morning trip. Thick fog and no drift made for poor fishing. The afternoon on the other hand was excellent. A light crowd was treated to perfect drift conditions and nearly a boat limit of seabass to four pounds with a handful of quality fluke. This just goes to show that The fishing can change drastically in only a couple hours and you really never know what to expect from the morning to the afternoon. We would also like to note that tomorrow, 7/28 we have a private charter in the morning and the afternoon trip is SOLD OUT. Also, we have a charter Sunday morning but will be sailing the sunset special trip, 1pm-8pm Sunday.

Fishing this morning was on the slower side, with little to no drift for the majority of the trip. The afternoon saw much improved fishing after the wind picked up and had the boat covering some ground, with many seabass limits and a handful of porgies and fluke mixed in. We will be sailing only the morning half day tomorrow, Saturday 7/21. The afternoon trip as well as both trips Sunday are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

Todays half day trips both saw some awesome fishing. It seems the fish are finally chewing the way they should be on the local grounds, and both trips had excellent numbers of quality seabass and fluke. Many seabass limits today and even a couple fluke limits on both trips, which is downright impressive to achieve on a half day. Lots of full coolers and smiling faces today aboard the Seven B’s. Also we would like to congratulate Shirley Bell, who celebrated her 95th birthday yesterday and fished on this morning’s trip. She’s been fishing with us for upwards of forty years, and she’s still got the touch, landing some fine fluke and seabass.

Fishing today was decent for the last full day trip of the season. The fluke kept a low profile with zero drift all day, but the seabass made up for it, chewing hard all day. A handful of decent fluke and nearly a boat limit of nice seabass with some jumbo specimens over 5 lbs. Tomorrow we will be starting half day trips, and the first trip will leave the dock at 8:30 AM.

Fishing today was on the slower side. No drift all day made for tough fishing. The fish were there and there was massive piles of bait all over the grounds, but we weren’t covering any ground so the bite was picky at best. High hook managed 5 keepers, and pool fish was 7.5 lbs.

Today’s trip saw very nautical conditions. Strong easterly winds kept us hiding in the lee of the island for most of the day. In the afternoon the winds let up and we were able to venture to the area that has been producing lately. We ended up having a very good bite in the 9th inning and put some nice fish in the box. High hook had a limit of fine slabs and a 9 lb beauty took the pool.

Fishing today was vastly improved from the last few trips. It seems like a fresh body of fish is finally moving back onto the grounds. Today we had a steady bite all day, with some truly impressive slabs hitting the deck. Pool fish today was a beastly 11 pound beauty with a 9 lber as the runner up. High hook today had 5, and mostly everyone had at least one or two nice keepers to bring home by the end of the trip.

Another slow day of fishing today. Weather was great as were the drift conditions, but the fish seemed to be absent from their usual haunts. We tried numerous spots throughout the day and found the same results everywhere. There seems to be an obvious lull in the action going on at the moment, and this is something that occurs every season. The fish are on the move and it’s only a matter of time before they settle back in and start to chew again. The good news was many of the spots that were infested with dogfish a few days ago were dog-free for the most part. Tomorrow’s another day and we plan on sailing at 7.

Another tough day on today’s fluke trip. Unlike yesterday, the wind blew all day today and made for fast drift, which is usually a good thing but today, the fish just didn’t want to chew. High hook had 3 keepers and the pool fish was just shy of 6 lbs.
