It was an eventful weekend of fishing for the Seven B’s. Saturday’s full day charter was very solid. The bite was never hot and heavy, but it was a steady pick throughout the entire trip which is resulted in a respectable catch at the end of the day. Pretty even mix of fluke and seabass and the quality of the flatties was definitely worth noting. Pool fish weighed in at an impressive 11.5 lbs, with several fish in the 6-8 lb range finding their way into the box. Several limits around the boat, and those who worked Bucktails with gulp definitely had the best results with a fairly slow drift all day. Sunday morning was chartered by the guys from Los Andes restaurant. Fishing was on the slower side, but the weather was great and we had a decent handful of good sized seabass. The sunset special was decent, but the bite was a bit lacking compared to the day before. High hooks still managed 3-5 solid fluke and easy limits of seabass. Also, the pool fish on Sunday afternoon was a lovely 10.5 lb floormat, which was our second double digit landed in two days…. not too shabby!!
