Today started off very slow, but ended with a thunderous bang, comparable to that of a nuclear blast. All morning and early afternoon Captain John searched far and wide, but it was looking like one of those days where the bite just never comes together. We made one last stop on the way in and we’re greeted with birds working and large piles of bait on the sonar. Dropped the lines in and it was game on. Silly drop-and-stick fishing for the last hour, and with a bit of overtime we managed to save the day in a big way. We had a handful of limits today, and to give an idea of how hot the bite was at the end, one angler had 5 out of his 6 keepers in the last 45 minutes. Hopefully they’re right where we left ‘em tomorrow as we are planning to sail at 7 AM.
