Today was a slow grind on the cod grounds. Beautiful weather made for a great day on the water but the fishing left some to be desired. The boat was chartered by researchers working for Deepwater Wind and we spent most of the day fishing various “experimental” areas designated by the researchers. Captain Andy decided where to make our last drop where we found huge amounts of bait but only a small handful of codfish. Just a matter of time before the fish hone in on the mass of bait on the grounds right now. Tomorrow looks like another beautiful day and we are planning on sailing at 5 AM.
